Trees, Trees, and More Trees!
As we were still living in our house that was for sale, we would come to the property every weekend. We worked every single weekend without stopping from sun-up on Saturday to sun-down on Sunday. As we have horses and knew that eventually our home would sell and we would need to bring our horses to the new place, we had to cut down trees for pasture and then build our fence. We started cutting down every small tree we could and believe we cut down between 400-500 trees of all shapes, sizes and kinds. We cut most up for firewood to sell and burned the limbs and all the brush we also had cleared. This seemed to take forever. One day we must have cut down 100 trees. The hard part was hauling them away after they were cut down. We would tie a rope around a clump of trees and haul them to the burn pile using the 4-wheeler. We spent about 6 months doing nothing but cutting down trees and burning them.
