The makings of our little horse farm in Delano, Tennessee. Our farm sits at the foot of Starr Mountain in the Cherokee National Forest.

A little disappointed.
The framers were supposed to begin today but had a job ahead of us they had to finish. So, they will start on Monday. The good news-they won't quit til they're through!

Patio and table
Since there was a little concrete left, we had them add it to our existing patio which is where we grill out. We have a fire pit there as well for weenie roasts and s'mores.
The barn quilt square is complete
We will put a sealer on it but basically it is done. We will have to reinforce the inside of the barn before we mount it. It is 6'x6' and is extremely heavy.
Concrete Floor!
As you may know, our floors downstairs are colored concrete polished floors. We chose slate gray. They will cover the floor as they are building the house and prior to moving in, they will put another coat of sealer on.

Blocks Are Done!
The blocks have all been laid. The gravel will be delivered Monday. Plumbing will be next then they will pour our concrete. We will have to lock up all 6 dogs in the garage. Since we will have stained polished concrete floors on the main level, we don't want any dog prints on our floor. Lol.

Horse Trails
One reason we fell in love with this property was the horse/4-wheeler trails already on the property. We always trailered our horses to Chickamauga Battlefield to ride and it was a long way there and very dangerous for horses on I-75. Here we can ride our horse on our property without leaving and enjoy being safe with them at home. Here are a few pictures of the trails.
